KG is like a display of all the music styles the band has produced over the years, plus
something new (Intrasport), which is perhaps a hint of the things to come. The microtonal
stuff is giving once again a touch of freshness, even though they could have been more
adventurous and integrate it more deeply. However, the result is extremely catchy and fun,
despite not being the easiest of the records, so kudos to the boys for another awesome
achievement.

I had to re-rate and re-phrase my opinion about this... because it is actually quite good. It has some really forgettable/annoying tracks (*cough* Some of Us *cough*), but it has some excellent and clever compositions as well. Honey is especially interesting and surprisingly catchy.

Bummed I don't like this more than I do. A few awesome cuts but a lot of forgettable ones as well. I've always been more a fan of long form psych jam Gizz anyway. Patiently waiting for more of that.

Microtonal psych rock? Ok why not. It's still unmistakably King Gizzard, psych rock representing their core sound. Now factor in some Turkish Folk music translated into KG's soundscape and you've got K.G.. It's subdued, much less bombastic or 'in-yo-face' than some other albums of theirs, but the whole lot is cohesive and flows well. Props for creating a microtonal rhythmic piece that does not sound obtuse.

These guys have always created albums that flow masterfully, but the transitions between the songs are so smooth. Also loving the guitar tones and melodies. Ontology's drumming is fantastic. Still sounds like there are two drummers even though there aren't.

Outside of Automation, I seriously didn't enjoy any of the singles for this album.
Thankfully, the rest of the stuff on here is pretty solid, if not a tad predictable.
Intrapsort was probably the biggest surprise on here, definitely the album's biggest
highlight.
