Though I do not have a problem with Marilyn Manson, John 5 was truly held back in the band. With this being his second solo album, this work really showcases his talent as a guitarist both in skill level, and in his ability to create excellent songs from quite a few different genres. This album has an amazing amount of variety on it from industrial metal to rock to country to bluegrass and back to industrial metal.

He sucked in Marilyn Manson, but he rules by himself. With licks that will melt your face off and country songs that will have you chewing straw for the next couple of days, Songs For Sanity is John 5 at his finest.
