even as a massive amo apologist, this is far and away their best work since sempiternal, and perhaps even just as good as it (albeit for very different reasons). love the industrial elements and the overall blend of their newer, more refined songwriting with their heavier sound. absolutely fucks.: after hearing thed versions of Parasite Eve and Ludens, I'm upping my score to a 5. idk if it's TRULY a perfect 5 for me, but it's closer to that than a 4.5 for me. AOTY.

One of the most hated bands in existence is back with a new EP/LP and they continue to show why they are one of the biggest names in metal music because they continue to make the most interesting and hard-hitting music in the scene. So many memorable tracks with top-notch production and features. I have never been a YUNGBLUD or NOVA TWIN fan, but Oli and the crew make them sound amazing and perfect on their respective tracks. The biggest downfall is the looming Linkin Park influence all over this album. However for the most part they really make that sound interesting with their electro-industrial elements thrown in throughout the whole album. Just a funny note the interlude ?Itch For The Cure? might be the future direction they need to go into because the breakcore elements they introduce are absolutely boss for the alternative metal vibe. Also Baby Metal really really really sounding like Haru Nemuri, an interesting influence.

An excellent release after the really subpar amo. The screams are back, the synths are sick and over the top, the hooks are enormous and even the wicked feats work somehow. Goddammit why only 33 mins though.

Bring Me The Horizon add to their rather impressive catalog with their best album since sempiternal (obligatory comment about loving Amo and That's The Spirit too.) It's like Amo, That's The Spirit, and there is a hell fused together. I know for sure this is going to be pretty high on my albums of the year for 2020. all the singles were fantastic and KINGSLAYER is one of the best collaborations ever, and yes the song was so awesome it needed its own interlude. All the features work fantastically on this album (unlike on Music to listen to...).Bring Me The Horizon gives music to survive 2020 too.

More alt metal than ever, BMTH finally reverse the course of "being softer by each passing release". It's heavier, yes, but still retains many EDM and electropop moments, clearly reminding 2010s' Linkin Park. Whether or not this remark drops or raises your interest, gotta say this is slightly better than their post-Sempiternal records. There riffs that are thrashing enough for you to bop your head. When was the last time that happened to you while listening to a BMTH record? A longass time, eh? It's still not enough for this record to truly stand out.
