This is pretty cool power/thrash, but slightly overrated at the same time. Those who love early Blind Guardian will definitely enjoy Evolution Purgatory but the songwriting leaves something to be desired.

Persuader goes for a faster, rawer, more thrash-like sounding in their second album while maintaining the caithness in their songwriting. The end result is Evolution Purgatory, one of the absolute best power metal album of the decade. As good as anything Iced Earth ever made.
