Not quite up there with Electric Sea/Tears for me, but it's still good. Nice chill buckethead is I think my favorite kind of buckethead.

A mostly mellow release. Nice textures ("Squid Ink"), plenty of tender moments ("Big D's Touch"), and one of Buckethead's best rock tracks ("Separate Sky"). There are too many interludes and the second half could use another uptempo track (before the closer), but A Real Diamond In The Rough is one of Buckethead's better post-ISOT releases.

I highly recommend this album. It comes from his calmer side.
Resembling Colma but more upbeat, every song has it's own charm.
Do not miss this one!

This is a very good album. Similar to Colma. "Big D's Touch", "Dawn Appears", "A Real Diamond in the Rough" are some really good songs on this album. This album is not like Buckethead's experimental albums and should serve as a good introduction to those starting out to enjoy Buckethead. Buckethead is too creative an artist to deal only with melody and not the intricacies of music and his mind. He is like an abstract artist whose creations may sometimes be difficult to understand and yet everyone is aware of the depth of skills and creativity that he possesses. Every song in this album can be enjoyed and relished. It might get a bit jaded in the long run though and then of course we can turn to Buckethead's crazy stuff again

This album is amazing.
Breath of fresh air after "Slaughterhouse on the Prairie"
this album is a slight blending of cloma and pepper's ghost
but on the more calm side
