4.5 superb | Brabiz | June 13th 20 | This is just one of those albums that has always stuck with me, at its core, Yes! is a hip-hop album, but it?s far more textured and versatile than what is expected of the style. K-Os brings to the table alternative rock, reggae, and pop, injecting every song with a great sense of melody and infectious hooks.

3.0 good | zen5729 | March 1st 10 | Alt-rapper k-os has always exercised a fair bit of eclecticism in making records, and Yes! is certainly no different. Here, he borrows hooks from all across the musical spectrum, like the guitar line from Nirvana's "Love Buzz" ("Uptown Girl"), the piano melody from Phantom Planet's "California" ("I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman") and the chorus from Frida's "I Know Something's Going On" ("Eye Know Something"). It makes for a fun, familiar ride, but those looking for songs as original as his arrangements (filled with strings, horns and everything but the kitchen sink) will likely find it less than fulfilling.

4.0 excellent | rav3 | August 17th 09 | K-os is one of my favourite hip-hop artists. It's not gangsta rap, its not some crap about self-love, money or the number of "hoes" he has. Whilst not his best album, it still deserves credit. Go listen to "I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman". You won't regret it.
