3.0 good | zaruyache | December 30th 17 | Yeah good enough. Not nearly as solid as their later stuff, but at this point you can just chalk it up to MtH still figuring out how to distill their brand of j-punk wonkiness into something more powerful. Thankfully they did, but even as unfocused as it is, "Kusoban" is still a fun record.

0.0 | | August 16th 14 | It's a slight renovation over both Mimi Kajiru and A.S.A. Crew. All of the eight tracks scattered throughout this EP introduce Maximum the Hormone in a more upbeat, yet no less hard-edged fashion. Had Kusoban benefited from including a few more songs, my rating could've been higher. Also, the cover art - while a bit on the humorous side - can be too weird for anyone's liking, and maybe should've ended up looking creative.

3.5 great | TRMshadow | January 11th 13 | Maximum doing what maximum does, making excellent j-punk that, while not exactly the most innovative music in the world, is fun enough to warrant checking out. 3.6/5
