| 3.0 good | nnpoc | April 12th 22 | While The Fall of Troy impress with the final four tracks, they seem stuck in the past. While re-recording Martyrs Among The Casualties was a good call, fans have been clamoring for it, I would've preferred a record full of original material.

| 3.0 good | ajcollins15 | August 12th 20 | On the bands 6th(ish) studio album, they seem to continue coming back to form with their brand of math rock infused aggressive post-hardcore. However, they have left the mathcore scene entirely for a more melodic hardcore sound then what they presented on their debut. In many ways, this album is a slight step forward on the instrumental, groove, and progression front. However, it is also several steps backwards as well on the structure, melodies, and recording. Some tracks here have some very memorable hooks and grooves, while others have some very rough recording procedures, bad vocal deliveries, and boring guitar cords. The band seems to be trying to grab at their old sound without fully going for it. This is a shame because this band has always had huge potential, however, they are never able to fully grasp that. Alas, this is still a decent album and anyone who is a fan of post-hardcore should listen to it.

| 4.0 excellent | Kullnes | August 6th 20 | very very solid release, old songs all sound fantastic, thomas' screams are still as weak as they were on OK, though with the notable lack of Tim Wards screams, which is a shame considering the high quality of the screams on the original. But with the instrumentals and the clean/gritty vocals being so good, its kinda just nitpicking

| 3.0 good | Dolving999 | August 6th 20 | A very mixed bag. On the one hand, they re-recorded most of their first EP ("The Thirty
Years War") - the instruments gained some much needed clarity, but the vocals drag the
music down because they are trying to emulate something their teenage selves came up with
naturally (the screams are the worst offender, they sound paper thin and drowned in
distortion); the last 4 (new) tracks are a welcome change of pace, even incorporating
some of that pre-Manipulator aggression, and this is where we find TFoT comfortable in
their own grown-up skin.
