3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | December 31st 20 | The vocals here are truly top notch, whether in the softer more melody driven sections or the angrier punk passages, the music is centered around well executed and nicely produced vocals. The production in general is great and leaves everything in a great place in the mix. Some of the lyrics may be a turn off for some but they are not nearly bad enough to justify blocking out the good songwriting and satisfying vocal harmonies and melodies found here. Also not quite as aggressive or angry as their previous release but if anything that shows the band is capable of different styles and a strength considering a lot of the tracks here are quite catchy. Hasta La Vista! is a great song and a good place to start if on the fence about putting this one on.

4.0 excellent | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | December 11th 20 | Dream Wife once again profess their energy that is "angry, but not at anything particular" and so their lyrics and tunes are also kind of wishy washy funny jaded, but quite directionless. That is this album's detriment, foremost than the generally slower and softer musical approach as opposed to their debut. That change does not bother me too much, as I think that the energy and writing on "So when you gonna" makes up for that.

2.0 poor | davezillaMP3 | July 14th 20 | the instrumentals are decent, and the closer is solid, but the lyrics, melodies, and vocals
are just terrible. The backing vocals are trying way too hard to be "cute but angry"

3.0 good | JS19 | July 7th 20 | huge disappointment, screeching the pace to a halt puts all the band's weaknesses on display. The tracks where the vocals are more in the forefront (After the Rain, Homesick) are borderline unlistenable. Group is still talented and pretty important though
