Very strong for a debut. Byrne's charismatic vocals sell this one for me. What I don't understand is the hype around 'Psycho Killer',as in my opinion it is actually one of the weaker tracks.

Super original stuff. The quirky ying to Television's doleful yang. It definitely has that sparse, little-tampering punk aesthetic, but, like Marquee Moon, it's different. The guitars are sharper, speed is less of an object. It set a precedent and predicts everything from Double Nickels on the Dime to the Meat Pups. 8/10

The Talking Heads debute was an alright one. To me, only 3 songs stand out, those being; Uh-oh, Love Comes to Town, Don't Worry About The Goverment, and Psycho Killer. I'm more attracted to the latter Heads style.

Punky, funky, new-wavish post-punk from the late 70's. Every track is just so damn catchy, I'll have a different favorite from this album everytime I listen to it because it's so solid all the way through. David Byrnes erratic voice mixed with upbeat guitar grooves seems odd but it works very well. This may not be the Talking Heads most innovative release but it's their most simple, stripped down piece of work.
