In fact, this album sounds different even when compared to Captiva, the album before this. While Falling Up continue to create radio friendly rocks tunes just like from Captiva, the overall sound seems darker. However, this is partly because of different production that creates a much more moody atmosphere. Overall, the songs split up between up beat tracks and slow emotional ones. Standout tracks: Streams of Woe at Acheron; Magician Reversed; Goddess of the Dayspring, Am I; Swimming Toward Propellers.

Unfortunately, musically the album is stuck in space-it just floats and doesn't precisely build up to anything-their are a whole bunch of incredible ideas here but are not executed to their potential.
