Looks like making shitty new albums are not enough for In Flames, now they want to retroactively ruin their good stuff as well. Can't wait for the 30 anniversary edition of The Jester Race re-recorded with awful vocals and production.

I finally get why In Flames never plays their older songs live... they can?t. The re-recorded versions of Bullet Ride, Pinball Map and Clayman should be considered a crime against humanity. Good god man.

while the four re-recorded tracks aren't great, they're not bad enough to justify 1/5-bombing this special edition of the album. They sound like bad bonus track recordings by a melodic metalcore In Flames-ripoff band, but aren't wholly horrible. Nor do these tracks ruin the rest of the now-classic Clayman album, which has always been one of In Flames better-if-not-best albums. If there's any difference in sonic quality with the rest of the album (the whole thing has apparently been 'remastered'), then it's not particularly notable.

I really hope they change their name after this one. This is awful.rThe guitars sounds lame. The drums have no depth to it and sound flat. Anders' vocals has deteriorated, maybe he didn't know how to growl properly all this time and now the strain on his voice is catching up with him.rAll in all this is not In Flames anymore. Thank god they cannot ruin the old records and overwrite past greatness.
