This riffs. This riffs constantly, and every riff is perfect, and let me just tell you there are PLENTY of riffs. If you don't like riffs (then you're a fucking idiot) then I respect your disdain for them and understand you will not enjoy this album. Also, the vocals are the most operatic yet sinister thing there is, so there's that.

Epicus Doomicus Metallicus is one of the most revered albums, not just in doom metal, but in metal as a whole. It's been discussed to high heaven, but it's worthy of its praise. In my opinion, "Solitude" makes its mark as one of the greatest metal songs ever written, and though every other song is great, they just miss the opener's prowess by mere inches. That said, this record is one every fan of doom metal (and metal in general) should hear.

One of the most revered doom metal records, Epicus Doominus Metallicus offers enough to impress the listener throughout it's running time. I won't go as far as saying it's one of the best metal albums I've ever heard, that's saying a bit too much as far as I'm concerned. But, it's an interesting enough listen and should be of interest to most riff lovers out there.
