one of the finer non-metal albums to come out this year. this austrian singer can really make some beautiful music. her piano playing is very intimate and her vocals blend perfectly. theres a bit of sorrow throughout this album. some songs are too short and i think thats what keeps this from getting a 4.5 from me. but its very close. Spiracle might be the best single this year so far. the darwave elements that she uses also adds a dim and nightmarish sound in a few songs (ie March Funebre)

Beautiful arrangements and colourful musicianship all around, but something about her vocals just rubs me the wrong way. Like she's holding back or something.

Vocals are majestic, lovely to hear that reminds me of heavenly requiems but with a darker tint. The instruments on the other hand... they're pretty, the piano is nice, but it could've been way more than it is now. It gets quite monotone after a while. A lot of tracks also don't hold enough emotion at all. I expected more from this band. It had a lot of potential.rFAV SONGS: Thanatos, Extinguish Me, Marche Funèbre
