3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | January 5th 21 | By turning their focus towards a minimalist math rock and by spreading the instrumental palette across several dimensions, Horse Lords have achieved an actually admirable uneasy (uncommon) task of making a modern post-rock album fresh and exciting. Or, if you wish to be prickly about genre specificities, they've made math rock less jumpy and disjointed.
