Their first major misstep. Starts off well enough, but the fact of the matter is that if it weren't for the middle three songs (Death of Me, Hallucinations, and Old Wounds), which all came out last year, this would be a major disappointment. The non-singles just can't do anything interesting to stay on par with everything else, aside from maybe January Rain.

This happened with the second Meg Myers release, too. For reasons unknown to me, people that loved her debut had all sorts of issues with her second album. The same thing is happening here, too. All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell was pretty well received, but for reasons unknown to me, Use Me has received a fair amount of backlash. Is it a little more poppy? Yes. Have a lot of the edges been sanded down? I guess. Is it still super catchy with excellent vocals, and an enjoyable experience from start to finish? I think so.

alright i do not get the hate for this at all. Sure the album does kinda go really "Meh" in the last three songs, but everything before that is really good. The singles were all pretty good and their are some really good deep cuts here and "Use Me" has vibe to it that i really dig. Plus the vocals here are pretty solid too.

a step down from their two previous albums but still a fun listen nevertheless.rGone are the
electro-rock days, this a full on pop record. To me it's a little less interesting because I
really liked when the guitars were a lot more present, but overall, it's well executed and the
music contains many interesting hooks. This is much better than that boring Hayley Williams solo
album released earlier this year.

I will say it right now, I have never been a fan of the three-piece band's music. It has always come off as gouache and uninspired. However, they have captivated many people and accumulated a large fan base for their powerful lyrics and inspiring topics. On their third LP, under the big label of Warner, they continue this style but there are several noticeable differences. First off their signature sound seems dulled in a way that is hard to fully realize. Many of the lyrics are powerful, yet tasteless. Also, the production and sound of the album are ridged and one-dimensional. I keep going back and forth with this album and I think because of that I will just go in the middle and say it's only okay. Hopefully, they will realize something more powerful in the future.
