This albums is mainstream to the core, and made to attract the fans of all the other bands out there like Fall Out Boy and Paramore. It brings nothing special and new in musicianship and song structure. Even so the vocals are well done and the melodies, even if strongly generic, are catchy enough to make this album somehow enjoyable.
If you are looking for some really great music that plays with the limits and tries to do something new and refreshing then this is definetly not what you are looking for. If, on the other hand, you are looking for the same catchy pop-rock/pop-punk stuff that you have already heard from multiple bands then you will probably find this album to be somewhat enjoyable.

The most GENERIC album I have ever heard in my entire life. It's like they took all the most mediocre parts from all the most mediocre bands in the genre, to make some kind of mediocre super-being. Kinda like Doomsday in the Superman comics...only this will bore the public to death instead of mauling them. Ugh..

This album could've been worse, but that doesn't change the fact that it's inevitably generic, bland and uninspired, hence the Hinder-like approach to this album. Sure, there are a few shining moments here and there, but they're just bombarded with gelatinous layers of vocal effects and over production. Their debut album was quite good. This album, however, is not.

Lonely Road walks the lonely road of pretense and absolutely fucking awful songwriting. Bringing vitually nothing new or interesting to the table, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus try to cover up awful vocals, generic musicianship, and lolbad lyrics with trite "epic" inclusions. Knock off the gospel choir. It's fucking annoying.

I appreciate RJA more in the new album (Lonely Road).
I'm not really into heavy side of RJA. The new album is not perfect but its good. I guess some of "Don't You fake It" fans were disappointed with "Lonely Road" outcome because it not SCREA-EMO one. For me, it is the mellow side of the band. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus still rocks!

"I hate to say I don't like a band I use to love anymore. But that has just happened with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus! Thankfully I still have they're old songs from Don't you Fake It to remember them. (I love those songs, and it's the only thing that still connects me with this band).
This album is an huge disapointment, I can't recognize The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus! It seems that the singer is sleeping all the way through the album (Lonely Road), the complete oposite of "Don't you Fake It", wich was very fun. I feel bad they don't scream anymore (Are they scared to be considered an agressive band?), and their screams were almost perfect in the way I'm used to like... Poor, very poor"

When I saw the stream news post, I promised myself I wouldn't give this album a 1, partly for fear of being branded a moron, and partly because I honestly believed it was impossible for these guys to get worse.
I failed.
This is one of the least affecting, most pretentious (and NOT in a good way) offerings I have ever heard.
