| 3.5 great | Inoculaeted | October 29th 20 | This might be a little too long for its own good, but I spend much of it in awe. They have the sonic palette of Elder but infuse it with the wackiness of King Gizzard and just let it ride out for however long it takes to hit all of their weird ideas. It's really impressive and eclectic, if overlong. A band to watch out for if they can edit down to only the best weirdest bits.

| 3.9 excellent | Erwann S. EMERITUS | April 28th 20 | Sounds like one huge live jam. What's impressive is how these 3 guys manage to create a sound as heavy as bands with multiple guitarists do. The soundscape created here is as vast as space and as psych as krautrock can be. Still, 70 minutes is a mighty long time, and the middle of the record could have been a tad fleshed out imo. Also, as the Black Curse record, I enjoy more the chosen aesthetic than the actual ride. Edit: damn.

| 4.0 excellent | Bedex | October 21st 21 | Not exactly what I anticipated on the basis of the title track (which is frankly better produced
and cooler on the KEXP version, but still a jam here), but still graet. Only the last track, and
perhaps a few moments here and there match the stoner energy and danciness of the s/t track.
Instead, we are offered with a loooong jam of spacey stoner rock. A true voyage, always cool,
always showing nice ideas, but also struggling to make individual tracks stand out and feel like
jams. It's all an excellent odyssey in which the chapters are not delineated at all. In that
aspect the band remind me a lot of an Ozric Tentacles where the albums are nearly instrumental
and always cool but also really dont have jams that stand out individually, the albums working a
lot better as whole records I guess. I dont generally like blanks in an album, but here it kinda
helps giving it more structure and delineation. There is cool drumming, cool bass all along - in
many ways this is a prog album. A super cool spacey trip at any rate. I don't agree with the
apparent general sentiment that this is too long, but I had to pause a lot tbf. 3.95

| 4.0 excellent | Deadwing2112 | June 22nd 20 | Ummon is the dynamic sophomore album released by French psychedelic rock power trio Slift. The album artwork cover is undeniably striking with its sword dragging gargoyle like hood ornament trekking across the cosmos. This is one thick slab of a listening experience of seventy three gloriously tripped out minutes invested into the eleven tracks of retro 70s spacey psychedelia laced with garage rock and progressive metal. Clemence Lagier's vocals at times are rather difficult to decipher and buried into the instrumental mix. However there is no denying the band's raw energy and enthusiasm into this record, possibly heralding Ummon as its genre's best of the year.

| 4.0 excellent | Gary STAFF | April 22nd 20 | Finally, I can get behind the hype about something here (duh). This was a very cool psychedelic/stoner/whatever jam. Crispy sound, sweet Sleep influences etc. - well done!

| 4.5 superb | Chino smoking it up! | April 22nd 20 | Album is pretty brilliant. The variance shown for a psystoner album is impressive...the album flow is also remarkable. Spacey guitars, psy synths, 70's vibe choirs and tight little bad assdrumming. I get some awesome late Elder vibes on this. Recd track - Citadel on a Satellite.
