| 2.5 average | Robert Garland STAFF | June 10th 20 | Having some really mixed opinions on this. On one hand, Lamb of God's self-titled is cohesive - but it lacks all the flourishes and fluidity that made Ashes Of The Wake or As The Palaces Burn such stringent hits. The absence of Adler behind the kit is noticeable, stripping down some of the fundamental signatures that removed this band from a host of sound-hugging acts. Tracks like "Gears" and "Resurrection Man" resort to chug-a-long passages, doing away with the noodle Morton riffs. It's a shame because Blythe sounds particularly on point.

| 3.5 great | Soilworker90 | June 20th 20 | I don't know what's everyone's problem with this rone. Sure, it's not LOG's very best output, but it's rstill heavy, full of power, enjoyable and, most rimportant of all, 100% Lamb Of God. I like it.rRecommended listening: 'Memento Mori', 'Gears', r'Reality Bath', 'Resurrection Man'

| 3.0 good | GhostShelter86 | June 16th 20 | Seems pretty average and a little uninspired. As someone else mentioned, Blythe's vocals are on
point though. I wish Lamb of God would get a little more experimental with their formula at this
point. Its just starting to sound tired.

| 4.5 superb | prnzokoshiro | June 11th 20 | I'm not normally enthused so much with groove metal - but a good friend loved them (not sure about now, though)... I already had heard As the Palaces Burn because of Dev's production wizardry; where I thought at first - "oh no not another Anselmo angster" ...but, I adjusted to his voice later when hearing Sturm und Drang and Resolution... also, I wasn't too thrilled with Mark Morton's solo album, but I only heard it once, so I should give it another go at some point because - his work here is (relatively) outstanding and Blythe, as another rater (if it's not a word, it should be lol) acknowledged his sublime performance - and I am talkin/typin for too long (my apologies for the babble-ramble) bottom line: some things like song-to-song transition and minor production issues could have used a little more tending to - but these flaws did not hinder my enjoyment one bit. one of the stronger LoG records IMO.

| 3.0 good | BRAman22 | June 21st 20 | It's a Lamb of God album to be sure. None of the riffs or hooks caught me quite like most of their other releases, but I could definitely see this growing with multiple listens.

| 3.0 good | GamamJ | June 11th 20 | I mean, it is Lamb of God. Groovy, melodic, slightly metalcore influenced. Blythe?d signature vicals are in place, but the elephant in the room is how they do without Adler. The answer? Alright. Is his snare and style missed? Yes, but Cruz does a solid job of filling in.
