| 5.0 classic | Dmax28 | February 6th 20 | This is one of the greatest Melodic Death Metal albums of all time. I heard Stained Souls
what seems like ages ago and ever since I've had my eye on this album. Of course I wasn't
hyping much because it could have been the best song on the album. I didn't know what to
expect, but of course had high hopes. And this easily surpassed my wildest expectations.
Every track is an epic in it's own right with the songwriting to back it up. In some ways
they are beating Insomnium and Be'lakor at their own game. Anyone with any interest in
the genre owes it to themselves to hear this because it encapsulates most of the best
aspects of the genre: expansive songwriting, explosive riffing, beautiful atmosphere, and
that emotional duality of magnificent encouragement and heartache.

| 0.0 | Your own inadequacies have twisted your mind into a pretzel that needs a bit of salt. | June 19th 20 | Aesmah craft a fine slice of MDM with WoTH here. Almost halfway through 2020 and this is one of my more reliable listens from the year. The melodies are surely present, but the riffs crunch and the harshes are pretty finely well done for the most part. It's not the most technically complex or innovative record, but WoTH establishes Aesmah as a promising force in MDM moving forward.
