Like Bohren & Der Club of Gore taking a class in swing stylings. Fantastically bleak,
haunting emotive dark "doomjazz" in a class beyond that of the touted Kilimanjaro-ect.
Don't care if its soundtrack or whatever - having not even seen the series (criminal I know)
this still moved me like no else.

The film is, in my opinion David Lynch’s absolute best, it’s horrifying and agonizing to sit through, it’s easily the
most taxing thing i‘ve ever sat through, and that says a lot because Martyrs is one of my favorite movies... and
this soundtrack is equally as impactful. It’s dark and dower, with some downbeat jazz throughout, AND the
greatest OST track ever... THE PINK ROOM. If you’re going to watch this, watch the series first though, it’s well
worth it.

After having seen the film this music takes a whole new meaning. The Phony-Uplifting "The Voice of Love" the short but eerie "The Black Dog Runs at Night" and the sleazy, chunky "The Pink Room" make up the film's most memorable sequences. That is of course not even mentioning the comforting "The Pine Float" and the gorgeous "Sycamore Trees" featuring a fantastic vocal performance by Jimmy Scott. This whole soundtrack is great, even if some tracks feel as if they drag only a tad.
