Circles is a beautiful, meditative album that feels like a day in the life of Mac Miller. The production is less immediately breathtaking than Swimming's, but has layers of subtle moments and beautiful callbacks, with a naturalistic, folky feel that compliments the vocals. As a final album Circles is heartfelt and peaceful, and a wonderful way to say goodbye.

I'm just surprised with how respectful this album is to Mac and his legacy, unlike some OTHER posthumous albums.

I've never heard of mac miller before, simply fantastic from the beginning to the end but it is not my type of music.

Leaving aside the obvious emotional component linked to a posthumous album of a promising and big hearted artist and judging this by its own merits, this is a beautiful record from start to finish, a very intimate deliver from a troubled mind, which at some points feels at peace here. A beautiful and heartfelt epilogue to a very promising career.

Quite definitely Mac Miller at his most mature. Finally the chill delivery and production style Mac has been prodding comes together into a project actually worth your while. My problem only is that I still struggle with Mac's voice and delivery quite a lot.

Beautiful, calming, and very haunting as some of these tracks feel like a foreshadowing to Mac's unfortunate overdose. We can only imagine where his artistic progression would have gone next. Jon Brion finished an album that truly honors Miller's vision and respects his legacy in the process.

First time listening to Mac. Given its posthumous characteristics, it feels more complete than expected (Gang Starr still pulled (one of) the best posthumous record of the last decade). It's not exactly the kind of music I thoroughly enjoy, but this is some well-done, beautiful at times, soulful neo-soul with some pop rap doses and folky vibes. A calm record (even if at times subdued, and losing its steam over several listens) as if he finally was at peace. RIP.
