A surprising release this is. I loved Passage but everything else by this band has been quite meh with the exception of a few songs of their other albums. This album though, is quite a departure and serves up some really enjoyable blackened industrial metal. The production is slick as hell and while the vocals are still heavily processed with effects, I found it to be alot better than on Eternal and Reign of Light. Just as I was about to write this band off as crap they come out with this little bombshell of an album! Let's hope they continue in the same vein with future releases.

The album requires several listenings in order to get into it. After the third time you understand the difference between songs and their originality. Stand out tracks - Polygames, Black Hole, On Top Of It All. Overall great album, Samael at its best.
