this was goddamn fucking awful and waiting for this album to end was basically a slow torture. Honestly surprised by a good portion of the user's votes here and feels suspiciously like bandwagoning. 'Stay Cruel' was about the only thing that didn't make me want to claw my eyes out and stick them in my ears instead.

From Joy Division, through German 80s electropunk to Nick Cave (especially in vocals and lyrics like on "Serafina"), Bambara's channelling of all dark gloomy post-punk styles has finally been used in a setting of good songwriting.
