I suppose what irks me most about this album is that Aranda is a bit too keen on showing off his ambition and skill, paradoxically to his own detriment. Instead of crafting a tight, well balanced album with only his strongest tunes and ideas, he bloats the project with unnecessary fluff and pat. This causes the good songs to often drag or the lesser songs to just be there blocking out the tracklist, where they could have been a mildly curious B-side.
