| 0.0 | wheeliemakesyouthink | March 25th 23 | Beneath the Massacre is the tech death equivalent of shoving an unsafe amount of TRT in your
ass, snorting a mountain of coke and having anal sex with all of your friends girlfriends
within the 30 min runtime.
If you find this music offputting you are a certified soy bitch with a limp dick who will
always struggle with attaining respect from women.

| 1.0 awful | SinNanna | June 5th 20 | The brand of very cleanly produced, overly quantized, ultra-technical death metal that Beneath The Massacre is known for hasn't been my cup of tea for years at this point, but I had still hoped that maybe after an 8-year gap between this and their last release the band would find a way to change things up and maybe go for a different songwriting style as I always assumed that this aesthetic had gone a bit out of fashion within the extreme metal community at this point. Turns out I might have been wrong, as this record is pretty much just another serving of the same, soulless and sterile albeit well-performed stuff from their previous records, which if you're a hardcore fan of this band is probably great and maybe seems worth dissecting further, but even after multiple listens I kept finding myself having no real visceral or emotional reaction to what I was hearing at all to the point where it was becoming a challenge to not have my brain completely tune out towards the end. It has a very agressive and pummeling quality to it which is always nice, but that's pretty much the extent of anything positive about this album for me, and whatever changes the band may have actually made here according to some fans (if there are any) may have just really gone over my head.

| 3.5 great | Panzerchrist | February 29th 20 | As someone who has put BtM on blast for years for popularizing an entire strain of homogenous tech core wankery, this was surprisingly decent. Production is very clean but punchy and the compositions have more variety than previous works.
