This grew a lot on me on 2nd spin. It delivers awesome riffs and variation. 3rd part is my fave
from this quadra for now, although it starts pretty thrash strong with Isolation. I dig the
concept too. Guardians of Earth acoustic (and all song tbh) is so m/! Pentagram is one hell of an
instrumental track. Also Raging Void's drums have some arrhythmic flow making it damn interesting
and Voivod(esque) at times. Rating 3.8.

I knew after Machine Messiah the band had reached a turning point. If Quadra is any indicator of what's to come, then we're all in for one hell of a ride.

I'm pleased to see that Sepultura have continued the upward swing that they started on Machine Messiah. Not as good as the Max era but definitely better than the nearly 2 decades of mediocrity that came before this

At its base, this is still a thrash album but it is pretty proggy and diverse for a Sepultura album. The percussion, in particular, is pretty damn good. The thing that keeps my rating lower than the music really deserves is the two-dimensional vocals.
