This is a good album, but its hindered by the fact that its all been done before and the fact that there are way too many interludes. Other than that, this is a good death metal album with a rush of influences and mostly smart songwriting choices.

Wow, this album really took me by surprise, most songs are really good here. "Regret & The Grave" is my favorite here " Tracks 1-6 are all awesome , The others are good as well. I really didnt expect Cattle to come out with something of this quality.

Probably the most cohesive album by Cattle Decapitation. The time-signatures while still all over the place, feel like they come "naturally," with the help of some great transitions. The chaos of Cattle Decapitation is still quite apparent on this album, but there is a lot more focus on atmosphere this time around and even some slower parts and some patterns that are a bit easier to understand, while using the chaos of their old albums as transitions and the like.
Vocally, Travis Ryan outdoes himself, or perhaps...shows a lot of potential on this album, even if a good portion of it are mids. The bass is very easy to hear and it has a crushing sound, while the guitar is much easier to hear this time through and shows quite a bit of technicality. Drums are relentless, but involve great fills and transitions as opposed to the jumpy style of Karma.Bloody.Karma.

Pretty much a teaser for the LEGENDARY Monolith record. This album is sorely a bit overlooked, and i think it deserves a bit more recognition, it's better than Death Atlas imo.

In general, the music is almost the same as in Monolith of Inhumanity. But the problem here is the lazyness on the composition of the songs and in the lyrics who sounds the same. Some highlights saves the album and the opening track with some human screaming inside of a slaughterhouse is nice and obscure.

Yes, the augmentation of melody on Monolith of Inhumanity was a welcomed feature; though that unto itself also detracted from Cattle Decapitation's very nature by a bit or two. With said album's predecessor, The Harvest Floor, the deathgrind act carried on with an unhinged disposition while delivering some of the most sickest riffs and meticulous songwriting possible. Travis Ryan's gurgling and torturous screams throughout will stick in your head for maybe years; he is no more insane than Jesus Christ here, folks.

I used to love this album when I was like, 17.. but now it feels mightily unfocused. The last two songs really tie it together, though.

Cattle Decapitation gives a very good effort on this album. It definitely is death-grind that is crazy fast. The album does not have a lot of variation in it except for the last song and the first couple of songs, but each song seemed fairly enjoyable. Where this album goes into negatives is when some parts in individual songs become overly chaotic at times and as much as I love Travis Ryan as a vocalist, his vocals are a little overproduced on this album where they become hard to listen to occasionally. This LP definitely showed potential in Cattle Decapitation becoming better and that happened on their next album.
