| 4.0 excellent | ryanbibisi | October 4th 19 | I enjoy this album a lot. I don't see this as a radio friendly collection of music. It has a soul and substance. The instrumentation is beautiful and this mix on the whole album fucking rocks. Definitely the best music they've put out to date in my opinion.

| 4.5 superb | ItzGZUSbetch | October 11th 19 | If you call this ?regression?, you?re crazy. This is one of the most progressive pieces of work I?ve ever heard. You don?t often hear a musician?s album that is also a pop masterpiece. The Djazz fusion they?ve created is unrivaled

| 3.0 good | Dmax28 | October 3rd 19 | Seems like some might say that the album didn't turn out to be as bad as Drink About It and Flexin suggested, but I'm the opposite. I loved the singles, and I thought this might make a bigger statement then it ends up making. It's a solid album and mostly has an R&B, Pop with heavy guitars crossover thing going on, with screams only showing up in a few spots. Guitars sound punchy and defined in the best way possible for this style. I don't feel the desire to do repeated full listens like I hoped I would but about half to 2/3 of the album is great.

| 4.5 superb | Marshall Clifton | February 12th 20 | One of the sleeper albums of 2019. The guitarist and bassist find the most success together, but the multifaceted sound of the album is winning. I don't even know how to describe that sound. "Keep It Alive" was one of my songs of the year.

| 3.0 good | AndreBourbeau | April 17th 20 | when they decide to go full tilt into their weirdo rnb-core shtick (find forever and drink about it are highlights), it's loads of fun and even a bit daring. when they try to go down a more typical djent (downfall is a lowlight), it drags and drags and drags

| 4.0 excellent | Crimson125 | January 5th 20 | The Album 'Beautiful Oblivion' is a fantastic addition to the Issues Album, and this most recent one is their best one yet. Although it is not perfect, the majority of it is very entertaining. rHere's To You is a perfect way to begin the album, with the ominous introduction that builds to the first bridge and chorus, with a musically and satisfying payoff. The album continues with hard-hitting guitars and blends with other genres of music. The weakest section of the album is nearing the end of the album, with 'Flexin" and 'Your Sake", which by no means are bad songs. rTyler's vocal range in 'Your Sake' is clearly shown in this song, and lyrically it fits the overall theme of the album. The main problem with it is that it is a piano ballad, which contrasts the nu-metal/djent/R&B/Pop aesthetic it has presented with every other song on the album. and Flexin is also a good song, but it is a very polarising song with the fanbase, it might've been a very good inclusion in a special or limited edition of the album. And some of the transitions from metal to other genres can be somewhat jarring at times, but it only happens 2 or 3 times on the whole album. rAll in all, a very satisfying and interesting album they have released

| 3.0 good | Flomink | November 3rd 19 | It doesn't really sound like anything I haven't heard before in many other albums of this genre. The instrumentation can be nice at times, but the vocal delivery and general presentation does nothing to distinguish them from any other metalcore band of the past decade+ to the point where it drags down everything this album has going for it.

| 3.5 great | Paul Quinones | October 16th 19 | their best mix of metalcore and r&b to date. i always knew they'd be able to make up for the loss of harsh vocals with tyler's voice. he doesn't overcompensate with his vocal composition like slaves, it's well balanced and feels like a metalcore-styled bruno mars act more than a metalcore band with some flashy singing. very well done and i love how this band has come back after a disappointing sophomore album.

| 4.0 excellent | ERouthier | October 7th 19 | Unique, try to find another band that sounds like this one in the metalcore scene. I
could see their next album refining this formula, which I would be interested to hear.

| 3.0 good | Brandon Scott EMERITUS | October 4th 19 | Beautiful Oblivion is a very *fine* album that furthers Issues evolution into a pop/90's
rock'n'b(?) band. However, the metamorphosis still feels incomplete. There is little cohesion
between the remaining vestiges of heavy, downtuned riffage, and their commitment to a more
straightforward radio-friendly sound. As a result, everything feels a too restrained, caught
between the two eras of Issues without an avenue to lean into its potential. I feel like in
retrospect, this and predecessor, Headspace, will be seen as solid, yet transitory efforts from a
band who went on do something really great.
