There's a lot to digest on this record, and it seems like it's going to need some time to grow on me. Somehow, its one of their most frantic outputs while also maintaining a cohesive style (Like a mix of Meta and "w^w^^w^w"). Specifically with how the cleans mesh with the more melodic bits and the heavier segments mesh with the harsher compositions. Vague Skies, Dissect Yourself, and HeLa are some pretty damn good tracks here, and it's generally a pretty solid output from Meta. Definitely going to spin this more to get a better feel for it.

Absolute powerhouse of an album, a wild ride from the first to last song. The melodic changes are a nice addition as well. Meta will stand as the example of how to return to something long lost undoubtedly, but this is definitely no failed followed up.

I headbang'd, and that's always a good sign. However, it's true it's a bit all over the place, the choruses sound like they were sang by a sick Chino, and the chuggy chug chug is basically 2010s Meshuggah. Edit: on third listen I did not headbang at all.
