The riffs here are absolutely massive. You never feel like they are just going into a breakdown or heavy section
because it is expected, it all just flows together so well. Cory?s vocals are the best they have ever been,
particularly on the last couple of tracks... and they have always been pretty good. Absolutely stellar from front to
back.

Did we really have any doubt that this was going to be the best metalcore album of 2019? Monsterous, melodically captivating, and a conclusion that brings the house down. They did it again. Phenomenal record.

Incredible. NJ is at the forefront of creating an incredibly aggressive sound while finding a way to weave in artistry that's
rarely matched in the genre. The front half of the album goes hard like trigonometry homework and the back half shows the band
lighting a candle and exploring into some magical fuckin' dark places that we haven't seen from them before this.

I'm bummed the music is so vanilla (by NJ standards,) because Cory is giving 110% on this whole thing. I'm not digging the new production on this. I noticed the change on Wrongdoers and Polar Similar, but the songs were head and shoulders better there, and I think the sound was executed well, if not as well as everything pre-Meridional. The new sound is really loud, I guess, but I find it fatiguing on the ears, and the riffs are so bland on this one for NJ that it doesn't hit me very hard. This album is safe. Not one musical idea here sounded new or refreshing to me. Cory's vocal melodies are totally by-the-numbers for NJ, but, again, his screams are as gnarly as ever here. I wanted to enjoy All Hail, but I find it fading into the background. It's is still better than your average metalcore album, but ultimately forgettable, in my opinion.

2019 we now have this transformative behemoth album in All Hail that has perplexingly topped the 2 other masterpieces before it. This is the epitome of an impeccable magnum opus.

Haven't been absolutely floored by an album like this in years. It's exactly what I wanted to hear rfrom them; a continuation of the sound they mastered on Polar Similar that turns into a full-on revolution of that sound as the album goes. The last four tracks are some of the weirdest, rcatchiest, most beautiful-yet-haunting material they've ever written.

The 'Jean go even further into post-hardcore, and while that ain't no problem per se, All Hail is too one-dimensional to successfully pull it off - the fact that the songs ain't the band's best doesn't help, the overall lack of dynamics either.

Although the cover is not especially great, All Hail is one of my favorite albums of the year because with experience and talent Norma Jean is still able to bring us some excellent stuff, even a doubt that it can be their best. Yet they have already given much. They wrote good songs as much musically as lyrically/melodically, while managing to create a perfect balance between them. It's far from revolutionary, but I think it's sensational.
