Glad they returned to their roots a bit here, but there's really just not much new in here. There's definitely not any huge hits on here, and there isn't really anything they haven't done before. While I found this album about uninteresting I suppose it's what a lot fans asked for: a bluesy garage rock album with some dirty riffs.

Let's Rock lacks monumental tracks but surprises with its consistency, solidness, care-free spirit and catchiness of its songs. The singles did not impress me but listening to them now in full context, I get the picture. This record is an "El Camino" at a different style: groove and rhythm in a pure rock n roll style. As the author of the review has described perfectly, it immerses the listener in the sounds of yesterday giving them first a modern flair. Recommendations: "Get Yourself Together", "Eagle Birds", "Hi/Lo", "Shine a Little Light"

There are some solid tracks on here that hit a similar quality to some of the better tracks on albums like Attack and Release and Thickfreakness but the overall album feels unfocused and boring. No real originality in the music as has been the case for Dan and his band for the past decade.
