A band that has always been massively overrated and this is definitely shown by an album that is often hyped up as being one of their best. This is a boring and unimpressive album.

This album feels far more to the point than its predecessors, which works very well but ultimately it's missing a true push to make it stand out (significantly) from the rest of the band's material.

the descent begins. largely streamlined production and riffs accompanied by a lot of filler and silly clean vocals as well as pointless instrumentals. still some bangers and the classic era dimmy isnt completely gone yet

As far as I'm concidered, this is the only album that
has been given the brand of "black metal" that is
actually worth a shit. This has riffs that are
borderline prog-metal, there are incredible orchestral
arrangements, and, dare I say, there's actually some
half-decent growls here? In what many concider to be a
black metal album? What is this? THERE'S CLEAN VOCALS
TOO?!
