compared to the genres and artists this draws influence from this is pretty meh.if i want to listen to dream pop or shoegaze so many better options to choose from.

On Keepsake, Hatchie delivers a nice hybrid of indie pop and dream pop, but with enough energy to keep her listeners from falling asleep. Also, the choruses on Keepsake are super catchy and capably delivered in a layered, harmonized, way making them sound bigger than they actually are. I hear a lot of Chapterhouse's breakout release Blood Music on this album despite Chapterhouse being fronted by a dude. They both dabble with danceable beats and energetic tempos while still maintaining a nice dream pop undercurrent.

On Keepsake I had trouble finding a difference and identity specific to Hatchie in relation to his counterparts and influences, when I was discovering it at the same time. Nothing is innovative and often it is limited because it is often a little smooth. It's so lacking in ambition. But fortunately his music is quite endearing, especially thanks to the singles that allow you to find an additional interest. But for the next one I expect a lot more from her. My favorite track is Obsessed

Kinda nice dreamy pop. I liked the catchier tunes, 1, 4 and 9 being solid jams. The rest was nice
but forgettable. No really poor track and no annoying moment. It's a nice debut but nothing mind
blowing. 3.3

Initially had it at 3.5 but after a few more listens, it's definitely worthy of (at least) 4.0. The run of the first four tracks is insanely good (Not That Kind --> Obsessed).
