Copeland's final album, You Are My Sunshine is a collection of bittersweet, pensive and euphoric moments in time, caught like sunrays and streamed through the heavens-high voice of Aaron Marsh. "Should You Return" is a dream-pop shiver, "Chin Up" stirs desperate emotion, "The Day I Lost My Voice" quietly escalates into epic proportions and "Not So Tough Found Out" burns slowly but ever so brightly...it's rare to find an album with so many songs within arm's reach of perfection. For fans of all kinds of indie and pop, this should basically be mandatory listening. Farewell, Copeland.

Copeland finally find their niche of their sound on You Are My Sunshine. There is an incredible amount of hidden depth find in all of the layers of the music and lyrics. And the mix between Aaron Marsh voice and the instruments is nothing short of exceptional. That being said don't expect to *get it* upon first listen: you will have to be patient when listening to You Are My Sunshine-because overtime slowly all the layers will reveal themselves to you-and if it does you might possibly end up being hooked onto this album for a good set period of time. Basically put: contender (if not) the best indie pop record this decade.

This is so good I can't get over it. A tad different from previous efforts, more of an Aereogramme + Radiohead + dredg feeling to it, suits my taste perfectly

Whether this sounds absolutely tragic or happy is totally up to the listener, but either way, it's hard to deny that Copeland has made their masterpiece with You Are My Sunshine. It's calming, mellow, and lovely. The vocals may take some warming up to, but without a doubt, this album is absolutely loveable and comforting.

You Are My Sunshine is unremarkable, but 100% sincere and evocative -- something that is painfully missing from a handful of Copeland's indie-pop contemporaries. An absolute pleasure to listen to.
