The best album of all time. Eno's soundscapes paint incredibly vivid pictures (see "The Big Ship") in an almost vignette like way. It's as if these songs are audible dreams, but unlike a wonderful dream, that you can only enjoy once, one can listen to this album again and again, appreciating the scenes more and more. Every song is a great and worthwhile listen. Incredibly ahead of its time and incredibly engaging, Another Green World, along with the rest of Eno's discography, deserves a listen from just about everyone. 10/10

Another Green World is a mixture of soothing pop tunes and ambient electronica. Eno uses lush keyboard soundscapes and sparkling keyboard tones to create some relaxing tunes that create vivid imagery and interesting ideas. Songs like I'll Come Running showcase some poppy piano parts while St. Elmos Fire features Fripp shredding up a storm, the ambient pieces don't drag the album down and Eno keeps things moving quite well. There is an excellent balance between pop and ambient, sometimes Eno even combines the two (Everything Merges With the Night). Another Green World is flooding with everything that an electronica fan could hope for, and absoute essential album for anyones music collection.

Another Green World marks a change in Brian Eno's style, namely from the Bowie-esque art rock with glam sensibilities to the ambient soundscapes people know him better for making. Although it's not purely ambient, some tracks on the album give insight into what he would eventually become widely known for, such as the addictive "The Big Ship" and the breathtaking "Becalmed". "Zawinul/Lava" even has piano similar to "1/1", the opener of Ambient 1: Music For Airports. Only a handful of tracks even have lyrics here, and those that do are pretty subdued in comparison to his previous work, as "Golden Hours" and "Everything Merges With The Night" while show you. He still hasn't lost his art rock ways, though, as opener "Sky Saw" and the lovely "I'll Come Running" are both catchy, upbeat, and unique. In all, a huge transition album for Brian Eno ends up becoming one of the crowning achievements of his storied career.

Eno manages a %100 success rate in creating precisely the sonic environment he envisions on each of this masterpiece's 14 tracks. It's a pursuit of the logical end of the Glam movement, establishing music as a fully formidable force in the field of abstract modern art. It's rare for a musician to come so close to reinventing the wheel, and so completely. The session musicianship is simply legendary, particularly Robert Fripp, who shines perhaps his very ever brightest here between the grooves. There's no question, however, that Eno's intuitive brilliance when it comes to the synthesis of emotion through sound is what brings the whole thing home. 10/10

Such a great record. 14 tracks, five with vocals. The album is perfectly balanced. The first of many great Eno albums. If you like David Bowie's album "Low", you will appreciate Another Green World.

One of the earliest examples of true ambient music, this album is an instant classic alone for the fact that it helped forge an entire genre and influenced countless bands and artists in the process. The music is sort of a mix mash of Eno's earlier rock music and the electronic ambient music that he would focus on more in future albums. Some of the songs rank among Eno's finest work (In Dark Trees, Sky Saw, Becalmed).

Brian Eno is known as the father of ambient music, and his creation of ambient music begins here. Another Green World is a strange yet beautiful mix of Eno's earlier prog/art rock and of the ambient music he would become even more famous for than he already was. It represents each of these two genres in their prime, which makes Another Green World one of the Eno's best albums.
