| 4.5 superb | Chino smoking it up! | May 10th 19 | Highly impressive AvantGarde Progressive Blackened TechDeath, with acoustic, piano and psychedelic and/or jazzy appointments making all this thing really shine throughout...It never falls into blandness, great sense of atmosphere, can even show an emotional side. Beneath the Forest Floor hits me every time. Then you have crazy jazzy track Old Friend or the best metal minute of the year (without a doubt) on The Color Of My Memory's first and exact minute.

| 4.5 superb | Fernando Alves | May 10th 19 | Eclectic, fresh, technical, progressive, I: Voice mirrors the modern extreme metal sound of the late 10s.

| 3.5 great | Robert Davis | May 15th 19 | The last few songs are incredible. The middle section of the album is where all songwriting sense flies out the window and you're left with a mess of multiple ideas-interesting though they may be-which don't culminate in something engaging or at least sensible, for want of a better word. I get this will be in many end-of-year album lists, but for me, it's missing some sort of glue to hold everything together. An inconsistent 75 minutes could have been narrowed down to a monumental 45 minutes here.

| 5.0 classic | iamtheweapon | May 13th 19 | This is a landmark album in the modern death metal genre. Every song has been carefully crafted
to invoke emotions and nostalgia to the listeners as well as the unpredictable parts keep album
entertaining. I can't think of any albums I have listened that can be compared to I: Voice. I
recommend watching the full album music video to get the full context of the album as the visuals
help aid the songs. David Lynch will be proud of this.

| 5.0 classic | mercilessshred92 | May 12th 19 | Instant classic. A completely refreshing take on progressive death metal. Expansive, dense, and a perfect blend of everything that makes this style of music great. Bound to be a game-changer.

| 3.5 great | bbatso3546 | May 11th 19 | Super dense, but after multiple listens it keeps delivering new stuff. Excellent metal release. It definitely takes a couple listens to really digest it though.

| 4.5 superb | Jared Wegenast | March 8th 21 | Was super surprised to see the mean sitting at
3.6. I am floored I slept on this one. Brilliant
album. The chugs are absolutely evil and the
atmosphere is magical. The mix is absolutely
fucked in the best way. I love how the vocals sit
in low mid and slightly back. Fucks with me every
time.

| 3.5 great | NoHellsNoHeavens | May 14th 19 | Hmmm... This year is turning out to be a great year for metal. This shit is wild and came out of left field. This is super refreshing and unique, a fun blend of styles.

| 4.0 excellent | elch21 | May 13th 19 | Damn, I didn't expect this to be SO nice. I like the harshness of the vocals, reminds me of Deathspell Omega at some points.

| 3.5 great | BenCee | May 22nd 19 | This is some pretty out-there death metal. Some of the riffs are more traditional melo/tech death metal but a serious affinity for atmospheric breaks and sudden shifts in direction make this an exciting, if disorienting experience. Some of the transitions are astounding but others are a bit too jarring for my tastes. It's definitely worth a listen if you like Fallujah, Virvum, or any of that other spacey tech death metal stuff.

| 2.0 poor | WretchedCacophony | May 10th 19 | This album contains a lot of elements that feel like blatant takes from bands like Opeth, Fallujah, The Black Dahlia Murder, and others. I've yet to figure out whether I'm hearing something unique or a reshaping mix of many previous works
