Best Elu. Each song has you on the edge, thinking could they trick me again? They do. They blend so many more genres of metal into their sound, and it's exactly the direction they needed to head towards.

This album has so much potential to be really good, but their screamer is not good... their clean
singer is sorely underutilized, she is used as backing vocals more than anything, maybe the album
will grow on me but as of right now, I am left cold on this album

first metal album with the new lineup and about as good as an elv album gets. indeed, good riddance to anna as her replacements are not only much hotter women but a lot more talented as well. ambiramus is the starchild here with the rest of the album a consistent medium rare to medium throughout, though of course the deletion of the worthless narration bits would improve it slightly

I love the folk side of this one but the melodeath one sounds too mundane, like nothing pops out. However, all those great folk melodies all eventually make Ategnatos a really enjoyable listen.
