The heavier parts of the record are simply fantastic, and the way they meld in and out of claustrophobic ambience is very well executed. Nevertheless, one sometimes feels that the experimental side of the album has gotten out of hand – playing silence for several minutes in the aim of creating atmosphere just doesn’t bode well for an album’s longevity.
