Who would have thought that from here Arcade Fire would go on to becoming one of the biggest names in indie music? Had this been my first exposure to Arcade Fire, I likely would have gone astray and never listened to their larger, better records. However, it's by no means a bad debut and the songs range from average to great. No Cars Go, namely (despite the fact that the remake was much more impressive), and Vampire/Forest Fire were both adequate. First time listeners should not start here though, because they likely won't feel apt to listen to their superior two albums.
