If I have ever heard a more self indulgent, repetitive, tiring, and harder to listen to album than "Censored Colors"...wait I haven't.

As it stands, Censored Colors is both one of P. the M's most overlooked releases and one of their finest. Everything from the expansive opener to the sprawling closing track marks the bands most ambitious and varied release to date, something that might alienate people who like their Portugal more straightforward but sure as hell is a treat to any fan worth their salt.

More than a retrospective or homage to vintage musical structures than a courageous move forward in modern indie music. Despite a handful of sparkling highlights, this album drowns in its own endeavors.

Look, I like this band, and they obviously have some talent, but I feel like every song on this album can be known within the first 30 seconds of the song. Some songs are pretty catchy, but they are soooo repetative, and I have yet to listen to their other albums, but I'm going to, and I expect more from this band.

really really good!
ive been a big portugal the man fan for a bit now, but this album was something else. the songs are very catchy and well written.
you can tell the singer/guitarist/frontman is getting a lot better.
