| 1.5 very poor | davezillaMP3 | May 16th 20 | Worst christian album in 2019, hands down. also contender for one of the worst "Comeback albums"

| 1.5 very poor | Doublez38 | November 26th 19 | On Native Tongue, Switchfoot tries to make up for whatever branches they can, moving between each very pop rock style by delivering songs on sad songs and all generic to death. In fact, they reproduced the same songs years later, which themselves were criticized at the time for their lack of originality, their lack of thickness and content that radio stations loved. Boring

| 2.0 poor | elli, evermore. | January 24th 19 | While their 2016 album was a respectable (albeit inconsistent) attempt at a return to form, Native Tongue
finds Switchfoot slipping back into the toothless, uninspired pop rock ballads that have plagued their last few
records, falling tragically short of being as musically compelling, emotionally affecting and lyrically uplifting
as Jon Foreman and company would like to think they are.

| 4.0 excellent | didymus | January 21st 19 | A little off-putting at first, Switchfoot's latest release proves its strength after a multiple listens through infectious hooks, experimentation ("Dig New Streams") and the kind of lyrical striving-towards-the-ideal we've come to expect. Lots of musical diversion but lyrical cohesion makes this an album worth listening to for fans of the band.

| 2.5 average | MetalSoliloquy | January 19th 19 | Very disappointing album. Especially after the very good singles and the great 2016 album.

| 2.0 poor | tigeraye | January 19th 19 | Switchfoot pulls together all their true and tried tropes of love, hope, joy, etc. without the unique instrumentals and clever lyrical depth they usually use to make it interesting. "Let It Happen" is the only track here worth listening to, everything else feels bland and uninspired.

| 2.5 average | haley | January 18th 19 | These guys are still going... in 2019. Let that sink in.
EDIT: Album literally sounds like a worse version of Thrice's latest. What the fuck. It's not
bad, just...what.

| 2.5 average | caninecommander | November 17th 18 | Underwritten, trend-chasing pop "rock" with re-treads of past Switchfoot lyrical themes.
