Senses Fail continue to hone their craft on Life Is Not a Waiting Room. While the highlight songs don't match up to the last full length, it is a more consistent album. The screaming has matured quite a bit, and even if Buddy Nielsen isn't utilizing it as much on this album, it is incredibly effective. Ultimately, if you like Senses Fail, you will enjoy this album. If you didn't like them before this, you won't enjoy this one very much, either.

By far their most underrated work. Whether it's a song like "Ali for Cody" or "Wolves At the Door", it's easily Senses Fail at their most refined. They just had to live in the shadow of Still Searching, and to a lesser extent Let It Enfold You. Even if it's not your favorite, I'd reckon it's better than most of the work that came after, especially Pull the Thorns From Your Heart.

Life Is Not A Waiting Room is the most underrated Senses Fail album in their discography, and I noticed that by the one play in a matter of a year my Itunes showed me. This is sort of a different approach, bouncing between these darker and lighter tracks over the course of the album, it's hard to really find an in between here. All of the tracks lyrically are the usual, real as hell, Nielson lyrics, but it comes down to the music that makes it different. There are some really catchy tracks on here that seem like a different approach by the band, songs such as 'Map Out the Streets', which could be a fantastic radio song. I just feel like this album deserves a bit more attention than it really received, while it's not the best Senses Fail album, it's still really solid.

Few years ago I used to post many lyrics from this record to satisfy my never-ending sadness while pissing off my ex-girlfriend, haha. Whatever - Buddy Nielsen is a very talented person, who inspired my writing and furthermore my whole life. Also the four Senses Fail full-lenghts are amazing. Full stop.

Improve even more on the improvement shown on Still Searching in every way. The melodies are tighter and the aggression is genuine and carries weight. Highlight tracks are "Wolves at the Door", "Hair of the Dog", and "Family Tradition".

I'll admit, I'm biased as HELL with these guys, the album really means a lot to me prsonally. Good blend of post-hardcore and emotional punk.

Senses Fail takes yet ANOTHER step in the right direction. This album follows the path Still Searching took. It's heavy, it's catchy, it's great.

Same thing as Let It Enfold You for me. I just grew up with this album and like it too much to hate it for that reason.

Wasn't impressed at first, but the album grew on my slowly. It has some extremely weak spots ("Wolves at the Door", "Chandelier"), especially as far as lyrics and vocals are concerned, but it also has some really good moments ("Yellow Angels", "Blackout"). Not their best album, pretty generic, but I like it nonetheless.

I wasn't a huge fan of Senses Fail back in the day, but I really love this CD. The rhythms have a tendency to just make you wanna move, it's awesome. Vocals are strong in both lyrics and ability. Great CD for any fan of punk/alternative/rock in general!

I am disappointed with this album. I understand they have a lot of pop-punk elements in their songs, but this album took it to a new level. I was hoping for more aggression like there was in Still Searching. They said that the songs off their re-issue of SS would be more or less what the new album would be like. Champagne and Battle Hymn were uniquely creative and extremely aggressive too. This album did not execute the latter part. I do like the new technicality by Garret though, his skills get better and better with each release. Unfortunately, I think Buddy could have done much better on this album...
