With "Tail Swallower and Dove" These Arms Are Snakes have toned down the crazyness without sacrificing their X-factor. It's one of the most rock and roll records I've heard all year, heavy hitting and deliciously riff-heavy. They still leave room for just enough experimentation to not get stale. A very good album.

something about this album just clicks with me and i just get so into it that i can't deny it a 5. really thick atmosphere, and one of my favorite drum sounds all around (the snare in ethric double is just so powerful). also steve sneer is an amazing vocalist and the lyrics on this album are incredible.

Every song sounds like a build-up to something more explosive but... nada. Gets boring quick.

These Arms are Snakes have absolutely been one of my favorite bands since 2003. I accidentally saw them live, and what a mind boggling experience that was. On their most recent effort they lose a lot of the gargle and focus on creating more of a refined sound that is as heavy as ever. This album is sure to melt faces.
