For this to be the first album for Eric, I think it shows true potential. Like many other
critics, I feel like it's lacking a few things. Key tracks off this album include Lightning,
Pledge Allegiance to the Hag, These Boots, and Guys Like Me. While this album is limited to
more country, I think this shows the early years of Eric well. The lyrics are deep, the
music is great, and it's off the path of where everyone else was at this time.
