| 4.0 excellent | hydeyomoney | November 26th 09 | Redman, my all time favorite MC, is sampled twice. That's enough win for one album.
But no seriously, some of the most tuneful underground production ever heard from Madlib and Black Milk, and since both already make some of the smoothest, most artistic beats in hip hop already that only helps Guilty Simpson. Guilty also speaks on behalf of the streets of Detroit, and does so in a believable, considerate, and at times hilarous manner. Great album.

| 5.0 classic | Casablanca | August 8th 12 | This is what I love about Hip-Hop. You can take something that has been done many, many times, but make it sound fresh and amazing somehow (in no small part due to the production)

| 0.0 | Bulldog | January 16th 10 | The way one imagines what the troll under the bridge sounds like in the story of the Three Billygoats, is the way Guilty Simpson sounds. He drops gutter lyrics with his rock-solid flow over some ace production from the likes of Madlib and Black Milk. This album is one of the reasons Detroit is the second-best city for rap. Detroit, arguably the worst, most crime-infested city in America, is entailed by Guilty Simpson on Ode to the Ghetto. 3.7/5
