Another band from my youth that I've fallen out with over time. Simple radio pop rock that can be a bit enjoyable but cheesy from time to time on this album.

this album is actually pretty decent. "swing, swing" was one of my favorite songs like.... sophmore year of high school i guess. it seems to me that there are quite a few pop punk bands like AAR that make a decent debut album and then instead of going in the "better" direction by maturing their sound, they only get progressively worse as they try hard to make radio-friendly music for teenage girls. other examples are fall out boy, the academy is..., and this providence.

This band just doesnt seem good to me. The singing sounds similiar to that of fall out boy and i dislike them so much. The meanings to songs are pointless from what ive heard off there album which isnt much. The whole CD sounds repetative as well. just not that good at all.

Meh might be an exaggeration. I bought this album off the strength of "Swing Swing", and that was as good as it gets. Not a terrible record, but I couldn't in good conscience recommend this to anyone. Good for a few spins, afterwards it all feels like filler. Most likely because it is.

This is one of the worst albums I have ever heard. Every part of the band shows lack of talent, starting at the vocals. His voice shines in but one song, which is one of two songs I regard highly off this record. On the other songs, the vocals are god-awful, showing a feminine range for a male singer. The lyrics are pathetic as well, very cheesy and showing the poetry of a pre-teen. The guitars are painfully repetitive, boring and simple, even on the solos. The bass and drums are also very, very basic, bass sometimes being hardly audible, and drums being replaced once in a while by a beat box. Don't waste your time, unless you want to listen to "The Last Song" and maybe "Swing, Swing." The rest is a huge hunk of doody.
