An unbelievably emotional and striking release. Eric's Trip may toil in obscurity today, but this opus, mixing distorted rockers, acoustic heartbreakers, and raucous punk, deserves to be remembered.

Technically, this isn't a classic. Doesn't have those huge moments and keeps it pretty simple entirely throughout. A very safe album. But what makes up for the instrumental aspects are the genuine and addicting lyrics and mood. Seems as if they were going for a distinct vibe and nailed it absolutely perfectly, creating a chilled and relaxed record with a nice lovesick and homey feel. I've never heard lyrics this honest and relatable in almost any album picked up. Plus the variation of styles between tracks have this awesome way of keeping your attention. Love how one second this guy's pouring out his heart and then the next the band is jamming hard. On top of all of this the songs have such a sense of quirky/catchy hooks that don't drag on for too long (almost reminiscent of Guided By Voices). It all makes up for a unique and one of a kind album. Interesting to soak all in upon first listen and stays the same with repeated ones. The epitome of everything I enjoy in the indie genre. Plus the name of the band is from Sonic Youth. Obviously it's sick.

Such a great album. The vocalist reminds me of The Smashing Pumpkin's vocalist, and the guitars always sound so refreshing and full of life. Definitely a good gem I've found recently
