| 4.0 excellent | br4dl3yb34r | July 20th 18 | Lol at the dude that didn't like this because it didn't fit neatly into their little
genre boxes. That's a huge part of the appeal of this project for a lot of people.
Khorada > Pillorian. Fight me.

| 0.0 | quetzal | July 23rd 18 | Pillorian is far, far better. Guess now we know for sure where the true visionary talent in Agalloch was.

| 3.0 good | Panzerchrist | July 22nd 18 | If you asked me, sincerely, what I remembered as defining moments on this album, I would probably be incapable of giving any sufficient examples. The songwriting runs the gamut from background noise to halfway pinnacles, seeming either confused or apathetic, and the production doesn't help; it takes all the edge out of the instrumentation, giving the proceedings a softness that seems unintentional. All in all, this was a disappointing listen, further hammered home by the sheer sonic potential of all personnel involved.

| 5.0 classic | Broonist996 | November 19th 21 | A record worth listening to dozens, if not hundreds of times. It's just so good.

| 1.5 very poor | Bedex | February 21st 19 | This was a pain to listen to. The vocals are unbearable and the instrumentation is a complete
mess. I love both Agalloch and Giant Squid, and am absolutely fine with Khorada sounding
different, however this really did not click with me. I just don't get this album. The last track
is quite ok which saves it from being a 1.0. Not sure about precise rating

| 3.0 good | Wizard | July 31st 18 | Weird and unexpected. Sounds like they want to take this in directions that The Serpent and the Sphere was headed but then I'm left just puzzled when they take a sharp turn. This and Pillorian are both odd examples of what happens when a magnificent band like Agalloch implodes.

| 2.5 average | noahconstrictor | July 20th 18 | This honestly was not that great. I'm not picky about my metal genres by any means, but there's atmospheric black metal where you have an ambient vibe going on that works, and then there's this. It's ambient to the point where it just becomes a meld of noise that you can't make anything out on. There's no real nuance to the vocals, and it almost sounds like whisper screaming at points rather than actual dirty vocals. Frankly disappointing.
