Because it's Darkspice and it's pulverizing and suffocating and cold and it feels like you're being physically pounded by space radiation, feeling yourself being pulled apart by the void, and floating off into that infinite darkness. It's got good riffs and stuff too I guess.

Yeap, I feel this one is one is not as inspired as their others. Nonetheless, this is still a good spacial ride.

When the fuzz clears way some truly stellar shit shines through here, ESPECIALLY near the end with the monolithic riffs backed with very dissonant guitars and synths in the back. Alongside this, the shrieks are among some of the most powerful in black metal. Unfortunately this record came across as jumbled noise at certain points and was kind of bland during these parts. This wouldn't have been as bad if this wasn't a monster of an album at nearly 80 minutes. 2nd half is like a 4/5, first half is like a 2.5/5

This, the third Dark Space full length, plays like a combination of the first two. The death metal-inspired riffs which were present on Dark Space I but missing from Dark Space II are back here, and the lengthy walls of sound prevalent on II are here as well. Indeed, this is, overall, the strongest Dark Space record: the atmosphere is as engrossing as ever, there are plenty of stand out moments and melodies, and the (slightly) improved production quality is welcome. The record's only flaw is that, at over 79 minutes, it's just too long. However, the atmosphere is so good that this can be forgiven somewhat, and that blemish doesn't stop Dark Space III from being one of my favourite black metal records.

Dark as the unseen universe, as merciless and daunting as the howling void, yet breathtaking as a hypernova explosion.. They say, in space no one can hear you scream. Perhaps because of the endless vacuum, or perhaps it's simply because you are not Zhaaral of Dark-fucking-space..
